Welcome to the website of the Lalibela Educational Trust
(LET)
LET is a registered charity (No. 1115891)
and was established in 2006. The aim of the Trust is to ensure
that all the children in the Sponsorship Project can achieve
their ambition and independence by helping to finance further
or professional education, if necessary. On the About
Us page you will find more details about the Trust and
its link with the Sponsorship Project.
The first two individuals supported by LET
graduated in the summer of 2008 - a special year for them,
their sponsors, and the trust. Woynshet completed a three-year
nursing diploma in Addis Ababa and Tigist finished her teacher
training. Click here to read
their stories.

The Trust raises money through fundraising
events and through regular donations from private individuals.
In addition, the Trust also aims to secure funds from grant-giving
bodies. Please, go to How You
Can Help to read more. All the money raised and donated
to the Trust goes to the students. All the work is done on
a voluntary basis, and expenses are paid for by the sponsors
themselves.
LET acknowledges the generous donations of Informed Assessment
Ltd, who have made the trust their preferred charity, and
the Worshipful Company of Pewterers, who are supporting one
student for the duration of her three-year nursing studies.
